We’ve been asked several times if we would arrange a history walk round the village. We’re delighted to report that we’ve done just that!
On a pleasant Thursday evening in July we welcomed 38 members of the Haverhill Family History Group to do just that. It was a chance for members of the group to talk about their contribution to the book and go into more detail the stories behind their research, plus expand on the characters who played a part of the story of Balsham. We were fortunate enough to see the new fixtures and fittings in Holy Trinity Church, as well as peep into the gardens and sometimes the houses featured in the village story.
The group and visitors from Haverhill declared it a highly successful evening, enjoyed by all!
